Science Writing Heuristic
Washington Township is taking part of the University of Iowa's Science Writing Heuristic (SWH). The SWH is an argument based approach to science. We are in our third year of this grant. In this grant, there is an emphasis on writing and speaking skills. Today we worked on writing in our science journals. Today we wrote about how we planned to test out claim, what materials we would need and also how we were going to record our data. We will start our investigations on Monday.
Can rocks grow?
Can rocks change color?
Do rocks change shape?
Can rocks break?
Do rocks wear away when water hits them?
