Dot Day
We celebrated Dot Day on Friday, September 14th. Every year on or around September 15, educators around the world celebrate International Dot Day by making time to encourage their students’ creativity. Dot Day is based on Peter H. Reynolds’ award-winning book The Dot.
We decorated a sign with Ms. Hovey when we were in art, that greeted everyone as they came in the door.
When we were in music we made a class dot to hang from the ceiling.
Martha fixed us a delicious lunch with a lot of dots in it. We had dots in the soup, dots in the bread, and dots in the cookies. After lunch we came back to the room and played the dot game.
We talked about how you can make your mark on the world by making a difference in othe people's lives. We are ready to make our mark on the world.
